  • Upgrade lighting to modern LEDs
  • Consider Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring for durability and style
  • Choose paint colors that encourage the right mood (calming vs. energizing)
  • Upgrade door hardware
  • Choose comfortable furniture
  • Consider the noise and smells for mapping out the kitchen or break room
  • Make room for designated storage space
  • Create a welcoming entrance for visitors
  • Find the best balance between workspace privacy and team collaboration

Feel free to share this! We created a downloadable handout here.

Again, this is just a short list of tips, and the good news is if you find yourself with an opportunity to upgrade your work environment or design a concept from scratch, you certainly do not have to do it alone! Not only are we here to assist our clients, but we will help them bring on an architect to execute their project to the highest level.

Our Proven Approach – when we first meet with our clients, we like to understand their space priorities with a needs analysis to outline all deal-breaker items and fully grasp their vision. We created a downloadable version of our needs analysis form below for you to use or share.

Next, once we begin focusing on the top property choices, an architect is going to create an initial concept of each space’s layout based on the results of the needs analysis. This type of plan is called a test fit, and from this sketch, clients can better visualize the functionality and look of a space, as well as make changes as they see fit.

Test fits will also be used to receive quotes for construction to provide an estimate of how much the space will ultimately cost. From these quotes, we will know the best way to shape the client’s priorities in the terms of the transaction and can better compare property options.

The architect will also work with the client to choose all the design finishes to brand the space to match their vision.
